FAQ

  • How long before my operation should I order the equipment?
We would advise you to book your order in for delivery once you have received your operation date, we do book hires months in advance. We are able to amend your delivery date before dispatch as sometimes operations are delayed, as well as brought forward.
  • When should I have my order delivered?
As most delivery's are made by courier we would recommend you have your hire order delivered qt least 2/3 working days before your eye surgery, this will ensure it is with you in time for you to familiarise yourself before you operation. We cannot be held responsible for any delays by the courier and no refund would be given for a delay by the courier.
  • I have just found out I am having last minute/emergency eye surgery, how fast can you get me a posturing unit?"
We can often work very fast to get you a unit out, please get in touch with us as soon as possible either by contact form, phone or email. The day of the week and time of the day effects how fast a delivery can be made but often we can supply a next working day delivery. We also offer a same day courier service at an additional charge.
  • Can I hire the units for less than 3 weeks?
Our hire charges include delivery and collection and up to 3 weeks hire, you can have the items collected before the 3 weeks finish, but you will not recieve any refund in hire costs. Our costs for the delivery/collection/boxing/cleaning are one fixed price for us so it does not make any difference if you have the items for 1 day or 3 weeks.
  • Do you offer smoking units?
We do offer smoking and non smoking units which are selected on order, please note if you do order a non smoking unit and it is returned smelling of smoke you will be charged for its replacement cost as per our terms and conditions of hire.
  • Do the units come assembled?
All of the units are already put together so dont worry no screwdrivers are needed! However you will need to get the units out and open them up and adjust the units to your size. Dont worry we include simple instructions with pictures and if you have any problem you can get in touch and we can talk you through it.
  • Are the units adjustable
All the units have fully adjustable headrests to maintain the important facedown position after macular hole and vitrectomy eye surgery. Depending on the unit you hire, the chair and desktop also have adjustable chest pads for the pefect positioning.
  • Do you pick up the items at the end of the hire period?
The return collection of the units back to us is included in the price, however we do not automatically pick up the items. As per our returns sheet included in your hire order, you can book any weekday (excluding public holidays) for the items collecting or we can email you a pre paid return label for you to drop the items at your local post office. Please book your return collection on our "Return a hire" page on our website.
